In May, d'Angleterre received the highest accreditation possible in the common European hotel star rating system, which Denmark joined on 1 January 2015.
The highest rating a hotel could achieve used to be five stars, but after Denmark joined the European Hotelstars Union, it became possible to earn a "Superior" rating in addition to the five stars. The d'Angleterre is the only hotel in Denmark in the category of "Five-Star Superior".

This year, the Art Prize was awarded to Danish artist Morten Knudsen for his original and serious approach to painting. The award was presented in April by journalist Adrian Lloyd Hughes at d'Angleterre's 260th anniversary gala dinner.
In addition to the donation of DKK 100,000, the artist has the opportunity to design d'Angleterre's Christmas card – a tradition that was introduced in 2013 when the hotel opened its doors once again after extensive renovations.

d'Angleterre on the Metro fence 
A place where art and love meet – Et kunstnerisk og kærligt mødested – is the title of a 120-sq. metre/1,300 sq.ft black and white collage currently on display on the fence around the Metro construction site at Kongens Nytorv (King's Square). Phuc Van Dang and Henrik Dybdahl are the artists behind the work, which is an interpretation of Kongens Nytorv and d'Angleterre, whose history began 260 years ago with the romance of two people. The work comprises a series of historical photographs and illustrations of Kongens Nytorv and d'Angleterre juxtaposed against Phuc Van Dang's distinctive black and white illustrations.

In celebration of d'Angleterre's 260th anniversary, LEGO has presented us with a magnificent model of the hotel constructed entirely with Denmark's iconic LEGO bricks.
A total of 47,876 bricks were used to build the LEGO model on a scale of 1:45, and it took a professional LEGO builder 150 hours to complete.
We are proud and honoured to receive this gift from LEGO, which is now on display in the window in the reception.

Bjørn Wiinblad at Arken
Over the summer and throughout autumn, Arken Museum of Modern Art is hosting a comprehensive exhibition of the work of Bjørn Wiinblad. Bjørn Wiinblad (1918-2006) was a phenomenal artist and imaginative communicator. With drawings, posters, gouaches, one-of-a-kind ceramics, scenography and giant woven tapestries, the exhibition reveals new and surprising sides to the Wiinblad most people know, producing a portrait of a versatile creator of much more than decorative plates.

Grønnegård's Theatre is back in the beautiful garden of Designmuseum Danmark with an original performance of Nikoline Werdelin's tragi-comedy about survival and identity in 1720's Copenhagen.
Grønnegård's Theatre is a relatively small theatre troupe in the big city of Copenhagen known as the "troupe without a roof over their heads."
