The Concierge recommends
During the summer Copenhagen is transformed. The cold, short days of winter are gone, and summer’s long, bright days and warm nights are ideal for the myriad of activities the city has to offer.
Rent a boat Why not experience Copenhagen in a new and different way? Rent a private boat for two or more, and see Copenhagen from a new angle. With a private captain you can customise your own itinerary and, of course, delicious drinks and snacks will be served.

The Danish castles Denmark is the oldest monarchy in the world and is filled with castles very much worth visitng. At Kronborg - famous for its association with Holger Danske and Hamlet - you can explore the dark catacombs. Frederiksberg Castle is more romantic: Its stunning gardens and handsome 17th-century architecture provide a beautiful setting for a warm summer evening.

Neighbouring Sweden We warmly recommend the 50-minute drive across the dramatic Øresund Bridge to experience Sweden’s vibrant city of Malmø. Once an industrial town, Malmo has been transformed into a cultural centre characterised by pleasant shopping streets, the Turning Torso skyscraper (tallest building in Scandinavia), and the new opera house with its repertoire of opera, theatre and dance.
