Autumn will very soon have passed and before we know it, Christmas lights will once again brighten the streets of Copenhagen. The month of December is truly something special at d'Angleterre – so special indeed that we have dedicated our entire newsletter to all of the wonderful festivities taking place at the hotel throughout this joyous holiday season.

OUR TIME IS THE TIME OF THE FAIRY TALE
The spirit in town was lovely: it was winter, the snow fell white and quiet, the twilight lay like a soft carpet over the afternoon, and d’Angleterre’s light threw fairy shadows over the big square.
Christmas is the time for fairy tales and lights. And in keeping with tradition, d’Angleterre will once again light up the King’s Square with the unveiling of its new themed facade to mark the opening of the 2017 Christmas season.This year, the facade is a tribute to one of our beloved regular guests, who is admired locally as well as far beyond the borders of Denmark.
The Christmas facade at d’Angleterre (and the secret of this year’s theme) will be officially revealed tomorrow, November 24, accompanied by the Royal Life Guard who will play winter and Christmas melodies, before and after the unveiling.
We look forward to sharing this magical afternoon with our guests, neighbors, friends, family and anyone with a love for the magical Christmas season, which starts when d’Angleterre’s facade brightens up the winter darkness in Copenhagen.

Balthazar Champagne Bar is planning a joyful season. We will open a door in our bubbly Christmas calendar every day from December 1 to 24 and we are open the first three Sundays in December.
Christmas CalendarChristmas is the time of the year that it is all about giving and we will be opening a door in our beautiful and bubbly Advent calendar every day from December 1 to 24. 24 specially selected gifts will be given daily to a lucky winner. CHRISTMAS FOR CHILDREN
Christmas is like a fairy tale come to life for children, a time filled with excitement, joy and coziness. At d’Angleterre, we go to great lengths to create the ultimate Christmas adventure for our youngest guests, which begins the moment we welcome them with a special holiday gift and homemade Christmas cookies.
From December 19 to 29, d’Angleterre will also boast a special playroom for children, where they can play all day long. And when daylight fades, d’Angleterre’s young guests will be spoiled with sweet delights before disappearing into dreamland.
The holiday culminates on Christmas Eve with a visit from Santa Claus, who brings presents for all good children.

True to annual tradition, we will once again host the d’Angleterre’s New Year’s celebrations. Our kitchen has composed a magnificent New Year’s menu accompanied by superb wines and Champagnes.
The Danish jazz diva Malene Mortensen will be setting
the musical frames for the dinner and Wegners Orkester featuring Pernille Rosendahl will open the dance floor.
