ROYAL LINDEN TREES AT KONGENS NYTORV
January 16 was a day of celebration for d’Angleterre and the citizens of Copenhagen, as the first of 80 royal linden trees was planted in our beloved Kongens Nytorv (King’s New Square). This marks the first step towards the
re-establishment and beautification of the grandest square in Denmark, which has been the site of a major metro construction project for several years.
 
This is a historic moment for Kongens Nytorv, with these 80 new trees bringing it closer to its former incarnation as the grand Krinsen garden. It now returns to its original form, with an oval shaped by the royal linden trees and 900,000 cobblestones laid in the same characteristic pattern as before the excavation.
 
The square is expected to be completely finished by this summer and Copenhageners will finally be reunited with the most beautiful square in Denmark - and our guests with a stunning view.

The darkness of February will once again be lit up by beautiful light installations during the Copenhagen Light Festival. The lights will adorn historic buildings, squares and canals throughout the city and harbor, from Nordhavn all the way to Ørestaden. 
Winter Jazz Festival 
Known around the world for its jazz scene, Copenhagen welcomes the annual Winter Jazz Festival from February
2-24. For three weeks, you can find pop-up jazz concerts all over the city featuring both well-known artists and up-and-coming artists. 
Winter In Tivoli Gardens
The snow has chosen to fall especially in Tivoli Gardens, transforming the Gardens into an enchanting winter wonderland with jolly snowmen, glittering frost crystals and ethereal light.
